The Bad News? It’s a Mess.

Bagley-isms

I once interviewed an executive director whose colleague was hesitating about taking a job at an organization he’d heard was “a mess.”

Her response?

“They’re all a mess!”

I laughed (with gusto). So many colleagues and coaching clients are frustrated that they inherited an unruly organization.

Others fret over the condition the last workplace was in upon their exit.

I’ve been noodling on this for a while and decided to explore the kinds of messes leaders inherit, the kinds they create, and the mindset that makes it all a bit more manageable.

Until next time,
