On most decisions, one person says you didn’t listen enough. The next one says you took too long to decide.
Same decision. Same process. Same frustration.
How do you figure out the Goldilocks amount of input – not too much, not too little, but just right?
Over time, I pondered whether I was solving the wrong issue by trying to strike this balance.
What if people aren’t evaluating how much you listened? What if that’s just the name they give to some other issue?
That would be just like people. Wouldn’t it?
